The unpremeditated even uglier bookend to the horrid Feast* EP shows that keyboards can be scarier and more depressing than guitars. The A-side is a slice of plague bound life (see unsung lyrics) as we are huddled together with conversation, Josie the cat screaming for her turn at the keyboard, the microwave going off repeatedly and both the synth and the speakers breaking down into pure static at points. Hey, how expensive would it be to replicate such claustrophobic found sounds in a fancy studio?! The B-side is a meditation on the psychic aftereffects of criminally shortsighted redevelopment along the riverfront in my hometown (see track notes).

Nick Bensen learned guitar from Ira Kaplan (Yo La Tengo). He played in the Croton Dammed, the Assassins, Three Globe Banana Monte, A Subtle Plague, Polar Arc and 33 Tiger Infinity. He made 3 solo CDs but gave it up in 2005 due to illness.
