Nick Bensen & Dave Stevens have been best friends for 50 years, with music always playing a big part. They shopped for albums obsessively together starting as kids, had a band in ninth grade, recorded jams with Ian Mader and Billy Ryder in 1984, and joined forces with Heidi Reischuck to create The Green Album in 1992. This session marks their first collaboration in 30 years, a deep dive into instrumental space rock.

Nick Bensen learned guitar from Ira Kaplan (Yo La Tengo). He played in the Croton Dammed, the Assassins, Three Globe Banana Monte, A Subtle Plague, Polar Arc and 33 Tiger Infinity. He made 3 solo CDs but gave it up in 2005 due to illness.

In April 2020, Nick suddenly regained the ability to play. With 26 psych/prog/fusion releases since then, Nick Bensen is really making up for lost time. ... more
