Riding out by the reservoir
On my bike
Got hit by a car

Thrown into the water
From a fearsome height
Climbed back up
With all of my might

Could have been killed
But was mostly alright
Lived another day to fight

Didn't expect a shot of bad luck twice

Little bit later I took a ride
Out to Camp Rainbow
On the far north side

Sean and me
And his friend Greg
Tried to balance
On empty kegs

Skated on a pond
For something to do
Heard a crack
Sean went right through

I was lucky enough
To do the right thing
A better, braver me stepped in

Everything turned out okay
I was hailed as a hero

That Sean had died

Nick Bensen learned guitar from Ira Kaplan (Yo La Tengo). He played in the Croton Dammed, the Assassins, Three Globe Banana Monte, A Subtle Plague, Polar Arc and 33 Tiger Infinity. He made 3 solo CDs but gave it up in 2005 due to illness.
